WHAT: Participants will learn the basics of making a mosaic on wood using a rainbow of small glass pieces. A variety of sizes and shapes of wood will be available, averaging about 4"x6"

The process of grouting the glass will be demonstrated, but your actual workshop pieces will be grouted and polished by the artist to be picked up at a later date. You just get to worry about the fun part of designing and gluing pieces in place.

WHAT: Remy is the creative force behind C’Mere NOLA, a whimsical shop filled with tiny food art and locally made goods from New Orleans artists and makers. She started her journey making tiny food jewelry at the Frenchmen Art Market, eventually opening her own shop in 2019 as a space to uplift the city’s vibrant creative community.

Beyond tiny foods and big vibes, Remy is a fierce advocate for mutual aid, trans rights, and abortion access—C’Mere even stocks free Plan B, no questions asked.

Now, she’s teaming up with Bonfolk Giving Good to host a special Fundraising Folks class to help raise money and school supplies for our Step to Success Back to School Program. Join us in class, support students across New Orleans, and C’mere for a good cause!

DURING THIS WORKSHOP YOU'LL LEARN A FEW SEWING BASICS AS WELL AS MAKING A 1/1 PIECE TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP. MACHINE USAGE & FABRIC IS INCLUDED IN PRICE OF TICKET. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING YOUR OWN SCRAP FABRIC TO MAKE YOUR PIECE A LITTLE MORE UNIQUE IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED...
